How To Earn Your Badge

1. Set up and complete a focused 30-minute mock interview with our career services director.

   Choose from seven high-demand skill areas: collaboration, communication, critical thinking, global perspective, professionalism, scientific research, or technology. Earn a separate badge for each focus interview you complete!

2. Complete a brief reflection.

After you complete your interview, we will share a reflection form for you to fill out and submit to document what you've learned and show your growth.

3. Showcase your achievements.

Add your new badges to your Pathway Planner, resume, and LinkedIn profile where employers can see them.

Preparing for your Mock Interview

• Casual setting - Dress comfortably; this is about your skills, not your wardrobe.
• Bring your updated resume - Be sure to highlight your latest credentials.
• Practice your introduction - Be prepared to introduce yourself briefly to the interviewer. You'll get feedback on making a strong first impression.
• Prepare for behavioral questions, such as “Tell me about a time …” and "Tell me more about your micro-credential experience." Feel free to bring your Pathway Planner.
• Get personalized career guidance - Come with any career-related question or concerns.
