Crosspollinating Art & Science Competition
An exhibition curated by the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences (CALS) featuring original artwork created by CALS students inspired by Harvest of Knowledge: Innovation and Inspiration and Swarm by Reinaldo Correa-Díaz on the fourth floor, Student Innovation Center.

The competition is open to CALS students who create works of art that reflect a concept of crosspollination between art and science. Students may submit artwork of any media for display in a juried exhibit to be held on December 12, 2024, in the Student Innovation Center. Collaborative artwork submissions are also encouraged, whereby at least one person on the team is a CALS student.
Cash Prizes Awarded
$750 - Best In Show: artwork that exemplifies the exhibition theme
$450 - Best-In Collaboration: artwork created by a team
$350 - Best-In SICTR: artwork created in the Student Innovation Center
Timeline
Tuesday, September 3 - competition announced
Friday, November 22 - deadline for submission (via Qualtrics form)
Friday, December 6 - exhibition selections and prize designations
Wednesday, December 11 - artists deliver works to Student Innovation Center for exhibition
Thursday, December 12 - exhibition reception
Friday, December 20 - show take-down

- Artists' names, ISU email, phone number, major(s)/area(s), classification, college
- Title of artwork
- Dimensions
- Media
- How the work was inspired by the Student Innovation Center installations
- Display requirements
- Photos
