By minoring in Entrepreneurship, you will sharpen your creative thinking and problem-solving skills, develop your entrepreneurial mindset, start your own business, develop a new product, or become an innovator in an established company.
The interdisciplinary Entrepreneurship Minor was designed to complement any major area of study by introducing knowledge and skills needed to create value through recognizing and developing opportunities.
With this minor, you will develop skills and knowledge in the entrepreneurial process, business feasibility analysis, customer discovery, business planning, innovation, opportunity recognition, technology transfer, industry analysis, and startup strategy. You will learn to develop an entrepreneurial mindset that applies to business creation or employment within an existing firm or organization.
Get Started
1. Talk with your academic advisor
Let them know that you plan to pursue the Entrepreneurship minor.
Your advisor will initiate a Curriculum Change Form that will be processed by your college.
2. Determine your courses to complete the minor
Required courses (6 credits):
- ENTSP 3100 (sophomore classification)
- ENTSP 3130 or ENTSP 3200 or ENTSP 4100
Elective Courses (6 credits):
Electives from an approved list of entrepreneurship-related courses or other choices under the required courses above. You are encouraged to take electives within your major college.
