In what way have the digital badges and micro-credentials made an impact on you?
Earning multiple digital badges and micro-credentials is rewarding because it shows companies and people in my life that I am dedicated and persistent. A bonus of these digital badges and micro-credentials the ability to add them to my LinkedIn profile, email signature, and resume, enhancing my professional presence on social media.
What was the most eye-opening part of being involved in Pathways?
The most eye-opening part of being involved in Pathways is how intuitive and welcoming the program is. The CALS faculty make the workshops stress-free and a fun, but purposeful, way of learning. Completing my Pathways Planner and digital badges was painless, and I learned more
about myself.
What advice would you share with someone thinking about joining Pathways?
Meet with the Pathways faculty, or in my case, Amy. When I started, I scheduled a 5-minute meeting with Amy to learn more about the program and how it worked, and she helped me along the way with completing my Pathways Planner. Students who are unsure if this program would be beneficial to them should talk to Amy. I believe this first step is crucial to help students better understand and become comfortable with the program. Lastly, there is no commitment, only the time students choose to invest in the program.
What are your goals after graduation?
After graduation, I plan to work as a field test engineer or in an engineering job and be an entrepreneur by starting my own business alongside working.
