In what way have the digital badges and micro-credentials made an impact on you?

Through having the opportunity to engage in hands-on learning activities, self-reflections and presentations, I have reflected on my skills, as well as gained new ones that I am able to present to future employers. I feel confident having micro-credentials because it provides backing and proof of the skills I present to others.

What was the most eye-opening part of being involved in Pathways?

The most eye-opening part of being involved in Pathways has been how more appealing I have become to employers. As soon as I mention the Pathways program, the micro-credentials and experiences I have had within the program, employers are interested and like to learn more about it.

What advice would you share with someone thinking about joining Pathways?

Join the program! You have the opportunity to engage in interesting activities, learn more about yourself, and become more appealing in the job-market, at no extra cost to you. There is no down-fall or negative effect on investing in your future by giving yourself credentials.

What are your goals after graduation?

After obtaining a Bachelor's degree in Agricultural Communication, I hope to pursue a master's degree with the end goal of teaching at the community college or university level.
