They have allowed me to build connections with wonderful people, as well as given me an opportunity to not only enhance the skills I already have, but also build new skills in a judgement-free way!
What was the most eye-opening part of being involved in Pathways?
Realizing that there is a whole group of people who have built a program for the sole purpose of helping students build life skills and making sure that there is a way for their skills to be officially recognized so that potential employers can see them.
What advice would you share with someone thinking about joining Pathways?
There's no reason not to join! It looks great on your résumé. There is no official commitment, only the time you choose to invest in yourself!
What are your goals after graduation?
My goals are to join a county conservation group and do my part to help restore Iowa's native natural beauty.
